Afif Ramadi is a proud supporter of various chapters of the humanitarian institution known as the Red Cross. In particular, he supports the efforts of the International Committee of the Red Cross, whose headquarters are based in Geneva, Switzerland. This chapter has an international reach that benefits humans across the globe. Ramadi first became involved with ICRC during his studies at Universite de Liege. The Kingdom of Belgium has a long history with ICRC, having ingrained itself in the organization’s fabric from the very beginning. The nation was one of the first 12 kingdoms to initially represent the International Committee of the Red Cross. Other kingdoms included: the Swiss Confederation, Wurttemberg, Baden, Spain, Denmark, France, Prussia, Hesse, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal and the Algarves.
